Gia is an approx. 3 year old, 50lb, German Shepherd mix. Gia has been with the rescue for about 2 years now after she was found wandering the streets. We are unsure of her life before the streets but we don’t think it was great. She has thrived in her foster home and has learned that the world isn’t a scary place. She loves to go on walks and car rides, walks great on the leash, and is completely house trained. She has mastered basic commands such as sit, down, stay, look, place, and wait before walking through the door but like with any dog ongoing training is always beneficial. Gia loves to run around with her toys and roll around in the grass but has learned when it’s time to just chill and relax. She loves her foster siblings and pup friends that visit, so could do fine in a home with another dog if introduced properly. Gia relates better with females and would ultimately do best in a female only household. She can be nervous with meeting new people so needs someone that understands this and will give her the time she needs to become comfortable. She has really bonded with her foster mom and will let her do anything to her. She is the sweetest most loyal girl and would love to just be your best friend once given the proper time to get comfortable.
